Trying Times to Survive Retirement

AIN'T YOU RETIRED YET?

Know what?  I really WANT to survive retirement without relying on anyone else or the government!

It isn't as easy as it sounds, with the retirement fund practically non-existent and things looking bleak we all have to either tighten our belts or get on with making a living another way.

I am part of the Baby Boomers group and as such am pretty concerned with the way things are right now.  It looks like the Government are not going to be a lot of help with handouts, and living around the poverty line is not my idea of fun for the future.

I want to enjoy my retirement and will be making inroads to that end by taking things into my own hands.  I have already found many methods of making some money and many of these are just a little different to what I am used to doing.

I used to be a mechanic!

Being a Baby Boomer means I started work when work was abundant, there were signs with "Vacancy" everywhere and jobs were a dime a dozen, if you didn't like your new job you left and got another, that same afternoon!  Now try to get a job, they are as hard to find as hen's teeth and about as useful when you find one.

I remember back in the early nineties (1990's) when wages were sabotaged by the government here in Australia because of a useless politician who wanted more approval, clever union bashing words were bandied around and his followers, coupled with many small business people, helped make law a total dismantling of all that had been achieved over the past 100 years as far as improvements in working conditions and wages were concerned.

This person caused a law to happen that made "Workplace Agreements" become commonplace, this meant UNIONS were no longer in control (and then unable to help the workers) and the business person who was employing people had the upper hand.  If you didn't agree to what they wanted your job was toast, stiff, you lost it to a person who was weak willed or desperate to have your job because they did not have one.

Basically employers made the rules now, not unions, and you had to fight for things you wanted yourself.  Success was highly unlikely seeing most people are weak when it comes to negotiating with a rogue employer, & they became the  "elite" once more, it's a wonder they didn't 'don the idiotic wigs the aristocrats wore as well!

We lost to the 3% folks, while things have gone UP as usual, wages these days are in some cases the SAME exact wages they were back in the early 90's! thanks to the self serving politicians of the day.  Life has now become unbearably ordinary because if you want anything nice you have to work so hard for it now.  If you have no skills for instance you can be had for just over $15 per hour and people are TAKING these jobs!

Know what $1,000 per month is in terms of internet time?

As you know, the internet runs 24 hours per day 7 days per week and 365 days per year, that is, it never sleeps!

Fantastic if you have an internet business right? 

You bet!  $1,000 per month is only an extra $35 per day give or take a few cents.....  35 x 30 = $1050 and there are an average of 30 days in every month.  Excited?  It's EASY to make an extra $35 for only an hour per day, believe it!

Even more exciting, once you learn how to make $35 per day, you just multiply it by however many hours you want to work.  Once you learn how to make that much for an hour, it's so easy to make twice that for the same time, just advertising for FREE can do it for you.  Imagine then, you are making now $70 per hour you work, will you work hard for it?  You will work as hard as it takes to make this right?  This is better than any handout!

OK, $70 per hour, now taking this to a fair work day, say 5 hours per day, relaxing as you go, with this type of income coming in at this rate you can do the maths.  Quickly now, if you can be bothered working every day (make it late at night some days, it's up to you!), you can make 70 x 5 x 30.....

$10,000 PLUS!  Sound unbelievable?  It's NOT...  now going with $35 per hour if you are a bit slow learning it's still $5,000 PLUS.  Did you make this much working your JOB?

Well, if you wish to survive the pension like I do we are all going to have to do something different, and this is where I can help.  I have spent the last 16 years planning my retirement by learning everything I can about the internet and making money thereon.  This is to your advantage if you are reading this with interest.

I'm going to include things I have discovered in my blogs here and hope they can help you as they are myself.  Any personal help for people will gladly be given when I have the time.

I am still studying (and probably will be forever!) so my time here is limited to a quick read and replies to any questions.

Starting off with my favorite way of making money is affiliation, and if it means doing nothing it is a bonus right!  Doing nothing is easy and do-able by everyone, we all surf the net for information right, or pleasure, whatever, no matter what it is you have a browser.  I have found a useful way of making yourself some traffic to your links (we'll talk about this soon, I promise) and getting traffic, that is people viewing your links for your money making ventures is paramount for any venture.

http://www.InstantBuzz.com/r/?DavidDiamond  and you can instantly start making inroads into getting people to view your OWN ads for your website or business even before you have one to send people to.  Your ads accumulate and are there ready for the time you decide to put in your own ad.  This thing just sits in your browser as a toolbar and displays ads.  This thing is really an Instant Buzz to me as I can do it with my eyes closed.
